I have been drawing for as long as I can remember and I have always loved it. From my food to my clothing to my toys, I have always incorporated creativity into everything I do. It was at the age of eleven that I decided to break out of my traditional “good, smart, obedient student” role to begin my serious journey into the art world. This was despite the reproach and disappointment that I received from my parents and teachers. They told me that I could cure cancer; I said that I didn’t care, I wanna draw. Among my influences are Brianne Tweddle, Leonardo da Vinci, Anna-Varney Cantodea, Rossana Castellino, Rebecca Guay, Victoria Frances, Salvador Dali, and years of anime/manga. I have developed a post-manga style with elements of surrealism, fantasy, dark, gothic and androgyny. I study the human form and use it along with other various other forms of symbolism to create a metaphorical and oftentimes esoteric but ultimately cathartic picture.
I graduated from high school in 2012, and a year early at that. The highest art course that I reached was AP Studio Art and I currently do independent advancement / study. I am planning on studying illustration, fine arts, and some graphic design as a non-matriculated student when I can afford it.
